Edison Digital Academy

Our digital training program

The Edison Digital Academy (EDA) was launched in 2020 in collaboration with Talent Garden, the Italian coworking and incubators network, and the biggest in Europe, with the focus on continuous up-to-date training on digital transformation.

The program has reached its second edition and involved around 500 colleagues (nearly one tenth of corporate workforce). With over 30 training sessions and different tailored training paths, EDA aims at creating new professional figures and competencies for the acceleration of digital projects and our human capital upskilling through learning processes enabling contaminations between Edison and the world of digital innovation.

The EDA objectives

EDA aims at disseminating digital culture internally and paves the way to a shared digital cultural background, which is essential for innovative initiatives conception and development in Edison’s operative areas.

Thus, Edison’s community is stimulated in skills improvement and growth daily.

The training paths usually open with a digital assessment to identify candidates’ professional needs. The selection of the path digital evangelist is based on the results of the assessment, at the end of the path the same evangelist is appointed to transfer knowledge in his respective work team.

Each training path consists in a variable number of courses (2 to 4) focusing on the 8 thematic areas, which are identified as strategic for the years to follow. At the end of each course competencies are tested and certified on a blockchain certificate. A few months after the end of the training path follows a moment for candidates’ confrontation and exchange to verify additional training needs.

In parallel with training sessions, a internal community was created to facilitate learning, multidisciplinary contamination and experience sharing in candidates, and a direct application of competencies gained, through an open direct platform. The community has now reached 95% of active users within its participants.
