The wind farm is located in the municipality of Foiano, in the areas of Toppo Grosso and Monte Barbato, about 4.5 km away from the residential area, at an altitude of about 800-900 m above sea level.
Operating since 2001, the wind farm consists of 11 triblade wind turbines with a unitary capacity of 0.6 MW, adding up to a total installed capacity of 6.6 MW.
An underground duct network connects the MV cabins. The electricity produced by each wind turbine is collected in MV by means of an underground cable line.
The MV/LV cabins are connected by means of an underground duct, which then proceeds on to the Montefalcone Electrical Station, where the energy is transformed and enters the public high voltage grid at 150 kV.
