Our commitment extended to the supply chain

A path to travel together

We work with suppliers that guarantee the highest health and safety standards, respect for human rights, the fight against corruption and respect
for the environment.

Assessing our suppliers

In order to verify all requirements, all of our suppliers are subjected to a prior assessment and pre-selection process first and then to a qualification process. Amongst the many aspects, when they apply, suppliers and subcontractors must undertake to comply with Edison’s fundamental principles and values, read and accept the 231 Model and the Code of Ethics.

Supplier Qualification Portal

This is where we evaluate industrial, commercial and service companies, professional firms and entities for suitability to meet our business needs for procurement.

Sustainability: a value to share

The ten questions of sustainability

During 2021, we upgraded the Sustainability section of the Supplier Qualification Portal: we asked our partners to answer a set of ten questions on different ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) areas, thus going on to measure their environmental impact (E), respect for social values (S) and good governance aspects (G).

Local suppliers

We enhance the business fabric in the territories where we operate our production facilities, preferring local suppliers with which we intend to walk with and support towards a path of sustainability. Local suppliers invest a relevant role from the design phase to the Operation & Maintenance phase of our production facilities, as well as at the sites of our industrial customers.

Value for customers, local areas and sustainable economic development

We listen to the needs of local areas, partner companies and citizens to cultivate fair and lasting relationships.
