Edison Digital Academy
Our digital training program
The Edison Digital Academy (EDA) is a Professional Academy aimed at promoting internal dissemination of digital culture and skills
Launched in 2020, the program involved around 500 colleagues in the first two editions. With over 20 training sessions and different tailored training paths, EDA aims at creating new professional figures and competencies for the acceleration of digital projects and our human capital upskilling through learning processes enabling contaminations between Edison and the world of digital innovation.
The EDA objectives and contents
EDA aims at disseminating digital culture internally and paves the way to a shared digital cultural background, which is essential for innovative initiatives conception and development in Edison’s operative areas.
Our training courses are tailor-made, in line with internal needs, to ensure continuous and concrete updates on the evolution of digital technology. The content covers cutting-edge technology topics and delves into the impacts on the organisation, business and people.
- Conscious and responsible use of artificial intelligence, promoting the ethical and strategic adoption of AI, and developing practical skills such as prompting and the use of generative AI to support business activities and individual productivity.
- Data-driven mindset, to disseminate a decision-making approach based on objective data and strengthen skills in data processing and analysis.
- Transversal skills complementary to technological ones, such as service design and the new dynamics of digital communication, including the management of social media.
- Innovation in the company, through the development of a mindset open to change and the adoption of tools and methodologies capable of facilitating innovative processes at all organisational levels.
Together it becomes easier to innovate
At Edison, it is precisely by working and learning together that it becomes easier to innovate: and the EDA offers precisely numerous opportunities not only to increase one's skills, but also to share them with others, encouraging the Edison community to improve and innovate more each day.
In parallel with the classroom activities, a community has been created, both physical and digital (through the social collaboration channels used internally), which is highly participated in by employees with over 95% of active users. Its function is central to the Edison Digital Academy, as it facilitates learning, internal contamination and the sharing of experiences, as well as the concrete application of the skills learnt to the company's projects, through a horizontal, open and direct communication platform.
