Also this year’s edition of Rimini meeting will be free emissions thanks to Edison, the Italian energy group.
In particular, Edison will provide the event with "RECS” (Renewable Energy Certification System) certifying electricity production from its own hydroelectric power plants on the river Adda in Italy thus covering the total power consumption of the fair (estimated 400 megawatt hours). This form of compensation is permitted by a specific European legislation, which controls and provides the source of energy from renewable sources.
