How the facility works

This is a co-generative, combined cycle facility consisting of two thermoelectric sets (Sesto 1 and Sesto 2) with an overall capacity of about 113.3 MW. Each co-generative set consists of a gas turbine (GT), a heat-recovery steam generator (HRSG) at two pressure levels, an internally controlled extraction and release condensing steam turbine (ST), and a water steam condenser. Set 1 is equipped with one alternator per each turbine, set 2 is mounted in monoaxial configuration, with one alternator mounted on the same axis as the gas turbine and steam turbine.

All of the electricity produced enters the National Transmission Grid.
