Sarmato thermoelectric power plant

<img loading="lazy" src="/sites/default/files/sarmato%203.jpg" alt="Sarmato thermoelectric power plant" title="Sarmato thermoelectric power plant" />

How the facility works

The facility consists of a gas turbine (GT), a heat-recovery steam generator (HRSG) at two pressure levels, a steam turbine (ST), an alternator mounted on the same axis as the gas turbine and steam turbine, and a closed-circuit steam condenser.

All of the electricity produced is input in the National Transmission Grid.

Environmental protection and safety

NOX and CO emissions from the GT chimney are constantly monitored by a SME monitoring system. The system gauges the concentration of NOX, CO e O2 in the fumes and can calculate the hourly and daily average concentration levels, in order to allow compliance with the authorised limitations.
