JRP stands for Joint Research Platform between universities and corporations with the mission of further exploring subjects related to hydrogen. The platform was created in 2021 by the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano together with the university and private funders, notably Edison, Eni, Snam, A2A and NextChem (Maire Tecnimont group). The privates panel now includes also other corporations and enterprises.
Starting by the assumption that hydrogen will accompany renewable electricity production in the future energy scenario, JRP is paving the way to the construction of a national hydrogen chain.
Moreover, JRP is developing so-said vertical research projects, focused on technologies or tools related to hydrogen production, with the goal of creating awareness on hydrogen as a carrier for energy transition.
