Massimo Quaglini was born in Monza on May 11, 1960. After graduating in Business Administration from the Bocconi University of Milan in 1984 and working briefly for Kraft, he joined Montedison Group (now Edison Group) in 1985 where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the Finance area (in Italy and abroad) in companies in different sectors – from production to services, and lastly the Energy sector – becoming Director of Administration, Planning and Control of Edison Group in 2004.
In April 2007 he was appointed Executive Director of the Energy Management Business Unit and CEO of Edison Trading, with responsibility for optimising Edison’s assets and portfolio, proprietary trading, the branches in Eastern Europe and the commodity derivatives desk.
In November 2017, after the merger of Edison Trading into Edison Spa and Edison’s acquisition of Gas Natural Vendita Italia, he became Chairman of the new company taking on the role of Project Director for the integration of these activities into Edison’s Gas & Power Market Division.
On May 1, 2019, he was appointed CEO of Edison Energia SpA and Executive Vice President of the Gas & Power Market Division of Edison SpA.
