Terni thermoelectric power plant

How the facility works

This facility is based on the use of a gas turbine (GT) fuelled with natural gas, and an electric generator coupled to the turbine shaft.

The combustion system consists of a series of DLN (Dry Low NOX) burners, based on a combustion chamber pre-mixing gas and air. This enables to achieve flame peak temperature and minimise NOX emissions.

Part of the electricity produced  on site enters the National Transmission Grid, while the rest is given to companies in the industrial site.

Environmental protection and safety

An SME monitoring system is in place for the continuous monitoring of emissions.
