The wind farm consists of two groups of wind turbines built in different years, i.e. 34 wind turbines built in 2001 and 10 built in 2002, making a total of 44 triblade wind turbines, whose 0.6MW unitary power adds up to a total installed capacity 26.4 MW.
The electrical substation of Monterferrante (CH) is connected to the wind farm and performs voltage step-up and power delivery.
The electricity produced in Low Voltage (LV) by each generator is transferred to the internal control panel in the tower and then to a prefabricated cabinet located at the base of the plinth (machine cabinet), which hosts the electric panels and the transformer to convert electricity from Low Voltage to Medium Voltage (30kV).
The electricity produced is collected in Medium Voltage by means of an underground cable network. An underground duct connects the MV/LV cabins, continues to the Monteferrante electrical station, where the electricity is transformed and input into the public grid at high voltage (150kV).
