Officine Edison are located in Turin and Milan and were born in 2018 and 2019 respectively as the result of a collaboration between Edison, the Polytechnic universities of Milan and Turin and local public administration. Officine Edison are now company spaces where innovation, coworking and top-notch training are gathered to build a future of sustainable energy.

Contamination of ideas, talents and diverse competencies is a driver to face daily challenges of the energy sector.

Labs for ideas

Our Officine are Edison’s labs for innovation, where all the internal most innovative projects are conceived and developed. The opening of Officine has been a strategic investment and enabled the creation of two of the most fertile ecosystems in the country around prominent the polytechnic universities of Turin and Milan.

Consequently, the enterprise has strengthened appeal in young talents coming from the two universities and its innovation potential.

The Officine’s venues are characterized by wide spaces inside and were projected to make work, experimentation, and research pleasant, comfortable and secure.

The two Officine present different overall research missions but work together with a common goal.

Turin labs

Situated at the Energy Center of Turin’s polytechnic university, they are a major innovation center where projects takes place. Projects involve a wide spectrum of technologies for energy transition, energy storage, advanced photovoltaics, e-mobility, and hydrogen technologies.

The labs are composed of experimental units dedicated to the study of advanced energy systems and are conceived for a fast integration with the university infrastructure.

Milan labs

The Officine of Milan were born in collaboration with PoliHub, the startup incubator of Milan’s Politecnico and are located in the city’s Bovisa district.

In the labs lies the heart of Edison’s activities of research of AI and digital solutions for the energy sector.

Moreover, the Milan labs are home to digital transformation projects and two tech research units: one dedicated to IoT, robotics and smart home technologies, the other to e-mobility and home recharging solutions.
