KYOTO ME TOO - THE CLIMATE-FRIENDLY SCHOOL

Edison has been working with Legambiente to carry out jointly environmental education programs at the local school level with the goal of contributing to the development of a more knowledgeable and responsible society. For a number of years Edison has helped Legambiente develop projects in the areas of environmental education and energy conservation. In 2005, this shared commitment produced the Kyoto anch’io – la scuola amica del clima campaign. This project is addressed to Italian schools of all levels to make students aware of the importance of energy conservation and includes a nationwide contest. In November 2007, Edison and Legambiente presented prizes to the schools that had been named winners of the third edition of the contest, in which about 250 schools, more than 900 classes and 30,000 students competed.
